Three groups of work, and what you actually receive.
Work that looks unmovable usually just has no flat surface to push against yet. The first job is to cut one: baseline the process as it is actually run, then rebuild it with governance and measurement attached.
Logistics, program management and operational improvement
A program has to stand up and nobody has written down how it will run. Or an operation is missing its targets and there is no baseline to improve against, because the process as documented is not the process anyone is actually following.
We baseline the work as it is actually done, find the root cause, and rebuild the flow with governance and measurement attached. DMAIC and root cause analysis for the improvement, BPMN 2.0 and process flow diagrams for the record, and a working group that can argue over both.
- Warehouse and distribution operations analysis
- Supply chain process improvement, including DMAIC and defect reduction
- Transportation and movement planning
- Inventory accountability and property systems
- Contingency and surge logistics stand-up
- Logistics program and project management
- Logistics KPI and performance measurement
Project management plans, governance frameworks and design documents, process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures, KPI definitions and improvement roadmaps.
Research and program evaluation
A program, a portal or a process has to work for the people who use it, and the only evidence available is opinion held confidently by people who are not the users.
We design the study, field it against real users, and report what the evidence supports. Card sorts, tree tests, surveys and usability assessment, plus analysis of the program processes behind them. Where the data does not support a recommendation, we say so.
- Stakeholder and user research design
- Usability assessment of portals, tools and program resources
- Survey design, fielding and analysis
- Analysis of program processes and service delivery
- Prioritisation of findings into an actionable set
Research plans, survey findings, usability reports and prioritised recommendations.
AI workflow support
Repeatable work is being done by hand, and the tooling conversation has started before anyone has written down the method the tool is supposed to carry.
We assess the business process first, then design the AI-assisted method and the operating procedures that make it repeatable. Only then does tooling become a sensible conversation. Current work is in business development and proposal support.
- Assessment of an existing business process for AI suitability
- Design of AI-assisted methods and their operating procedures
- Opportunity tracking and proposal-support workflow design
- Pilot planning and implementation guidance
Workflow assessments, written operating procedures, pilot plans and implementation guidance.
Delivered to date: a written AI-enabled business development method and the operating procedures that run it. Document generation and opportunity-tracking tooling are in development and are described here as capability we are building, not capability we have shipped.
Appropriately scoped engagements
Luctor Consulting is a principal-led practice. These are the shapes of work the practice can commit to and finish.
Process baseline and improvement roadmap
One operation, studied as it actually runs. You receive the process flow diagram, the root cause analysis and a sequenced roadmap.
Program stand-up governance package
Project management plan, design document, roles and decision rights, and the KPI set the program will be judged on.
Research or usability study
Study design, fielding against real users, and a findings report with recommendations ordered by what they cost and what they return.
Subcontract work package or advisory
A defined deliverable under a prime, or standing advisory capacity on an active contract. Scoped to what one principal can finish well.
